Well i've managed to get 9 pages of the site complete and uploaded. i will do some more work on it tonight and will hopefully be finished by the end of the week. i will post more news as the launch approaches. i have also managed to get some more of the summer timetables done and i have managed to finish the manchester timetables and have made a good start on the heathrow ones.

plenty of news today. we'll start with the subject of the major site overhaul. i have decided it is in the best interests of the airline if i do a complete site overhaul and redesign the site using html. i am in the process of doing so and i have got together a
preview for you all i need as much feedback as possible so all comments and suggestions on the general board in the forum under the new site thread. i am also in the process of designing the summer timetables and i have managed to complete the manchester charter timetables which now consist of 18 flights using the a320 and 757. this is a lot more than the previous 12 charter flights out of manchester. i am hoping to make a start on the regional manchester timetables sometime tonight and i hope to operate at least 20 regional flights using the saab 2000 and the rj85 out of manchester.

i yesterday started tests on an MD80 and found it worthy of the AirEngland fleet. painting will commence next week sometime. we will be using a model for which we have found a very good panel. we would have been using an sgair model but the downloads section of their site seems to be down.

more details for the cargo division were finalised today. ken macelmon is willing to take on the permanent role of running cargo ops with a little bit of help from myself and he will be keeping his hub manager heathrow position until we open the american hub and someone else is ready to fill his shoes at heathrow. as you are all well aware the 747 is now here and available for download on the downloads page (of course). details are on the fleet page in the crewroom. again i must ask all pilots to become a member at the forum and get some pilot banter going on. any pilots that would like to have an e-mail address ending in @airengland.cjb.net please contact me on chiefofficer@airengland.cjb.net and i will set it up for you.

well the 747 is now here! and has been uploaded to the site. the timetables were uploaded last week. the question that would bug me will be answered in the faq section of the forum and here aswell. when flying long haul flights yes we do allow our pilots to fly at 4x speed and no more and only at cruising altitude. most pilots prefer not to do this at spoils the realism but you may save at regular intervals and come back the next day if, like me, you have a bit of a problem devoting 15 hours to flying aircraft each day. the plane can be downloaded from the downloads page and tomorow avsim aswell will have the file.

the 747 is not yet here but i am in the process of adding the details to the fleet page ready for the upload.

well...first of all i must apologize for the lack of updates over the past 4 days as i have been busy with my work for VAI (i've just been appointed head of operations) however i have managed to squeeze in some time to finish off the timetables for the 747 which will be here shortly. the vantaa timetables have now been uploaded and the aircraft will hopefully be here within the next few days.
3rd March 2004
i completed the heathrow timetables for the long haul routes today and uploaded them. they can be found in the usual place just follow the crewroom to the timetables link. i will be uploading the long haul timetables for vantaa tommorow as well. i have placed 4 flights on the heathrow timetable so far and if the demand arises then more destinations will be added.

well it looks like things are finally starting to look up for us as the month of february came to a close. the first day in march and we have our Hub Manager Ken MacElmon back on board with us. after a brief period of time when he just didn't have enough time to handle the job as heathrow hub manager he is now back with us. february it seems has been a bad month for all of us. hell even i thought about resigning. but i'm back on track with my coursework and with ken on board and snorri's 747 nearly here we really could be in for a treat.
