Adventure Therapy/Therapeutic Adventure Internships and Training Opportunities

Updated 8/26/2001

Several discussions at the 1999 AEE International Conference have led TAPG to develop this page as one way to help facilitate training opportunities for those interested in the areas of adventure therapy and therapeutic adventure.

This is a place for employers or others who can provide internships, field placements, or other training opportunities to list them.

There is NO endorsement of any of the programs listed here. Any student or person seeking training is encouraged to check out the program, the credentials of the personnel, the philosophy of the program, the methods employed, and the many other components of any adventure program.

There is no such thing as a true certification or license in adventure therapy, therapeutic adventure, or adventure-based counseling, be suspicious of any one who holds themselves out as being so.

If you have a program to list, please do so (see example if you have questions). If you are looking for an internship scroll down below.
