Warrax, a priest of Sandelfon

"Maybe they're just keen on killing people. That's religion for you."
-- The Light Fantastic, Terry Pratchett
Warrax grew up in a very dangerous, disreputable area, and hence spent much of his early life playing with toy weapons inside his home, running madly through the corridors with his toy sword, dreaming of being a warrior. As he got older, this love of corridors led him to the worship of the Almighty Sandelfon, God of Corridors, and although he never really gave up his dreams of being a warrior, he settled into his new role as a Priest of Sandelfon.

Continuing with his weapons practice, though giving up his childhood fascination with the sword and instead concentrating on the priestly art of wielding a blunt implement, he simultaneously advanced up through the ranks of the Priests guild.

As a young Archpriest, Warrax excelled at combat. Now, as an older and wiser Cardinal, Warrax has become even more deadly.

After a time spent travelling the disc converting others to the worship of Sandelfon - more often with his warhammer than the more gentle means of conversion - he found himself spending more and more time working within the main temple of Sandelfon in the city of Ankh-Morpork. Becoming more wise in the ways of the faith, he found himself rising quickly through the hierarchy of the temple until, somewhat surprisingly, he found himself serving Sandelfon as High Priest.

Occasionally, the old urges getting the better of him, he assumes the more modest title of Cardinal and ventures out to test his warriorly skills, finding them as honed as ever - and has been grateful to find that on his return he has been able to resume his work as High Priest a number of times.

He is typically happy to help out most who come seeking his assistance, don't let the somewhat stained grey vestment and worn looking weapons warn you off - he is far more civilised now than in his younger days.
-- Excerpts from the biography, "The Priest-Warrior of Sandelfon."

Services.
As when I joined the priesthood, Sandelfon gave me a choice of swearing a vow of poverty or a vow of chastity, I do not believe in charging for priestly services, no donation or payment is accepted or required. I do however expect some degree of politeness in requests, you are more likely to gain assistance if you take the time to type a politely phrased tell rather than a quick "can u ..." request.
Although it happens most to priests of Pishe, I also am not a fan of the process of 'shopping around' (with the exception of teaching, of course), if you ask all of the online priests their bonuses before asking for a shield or ward, then you aren't likely to be treated as favourably as otherwise.
If I have refused your request for whatever reason, I ask you to accept that with grace rather than abusing me or trying to tempt me with payment.
Finally, since I've now slowed down a bit, I will no longer passage over immediately to your location and provide assistance (again with the exception of teaching). Typically I will ask you to travel to a location which is convienient to me, most often this is in the city of KLK or the Oasis, or as an outside chance, the temple complex in AM.

General Help
I am generally more than happy to answer any questions you may have, except for those involving quest information. You'll probably have more luck when asking questions about the priests and warriors guilds or on general aspects of the game rather than on say, the thieves or assassins guilds, however.

Warding
Along with priests of Hat and Gufnork, I am granted the major ward ritual which can help protect an item against theft. Major ward has again fallen in damage with the latest changes to the faith system and so is not all that effective in causing the thief to drop the stolen item when the ward goes off. You might wish to consider the effects of silken ward instead.
However, if asked I will often provide you with a few wards - although I will ask you to travel to a convienient location. I will not ward your entire inventory, you will need to be satisfied with wards on a small number of your more valuable posessions.

Divine Hand
I am not a member of 'taxi' and have no desire to act like one - requests along these lines will usually be met with polite refusal. You might prefer to ask a member of the 'taxi' service or avail yourself of the tour guide facilities in Sator square.

Major Shielding
A major shield is, of course, one of the better protections available on the discworld. Personally, I feel that such a worthwhile piece of protection should be worked towards if at all possible. I have been disappointed by the rather huge numbers of young priests who seem to feel that the best method for them is to straight away grab a strong major shield from someone else rather than considering it as something they should be working towards.
This means that except under rare circumstances I will no longer provide major shields to those who will in the future, gain the ability to major shield themselves effectively. It is unfortunate that it has come to this, but regardless of whether your major shield isn't very strong, or that you haven't learnt the ritual yet, requesting one from me is by no means guaranteed of success.

Of course, I will continue to be more than happy to provide major shields to those priests of Pishe and Sek who are unable to gain the ritual for themselves, all I ask is that you bring a shield and a smile.

Fumble and Longsight
I am not a walking fumble imbue, any requests for me to fumble npcs such as Ghot-khin-than, Althea, Fujiyama, Francis etc. for their weapons, whether for you to use or sell them, will usually be refused.
Rather unsurprisingly, I also am not a walking crystal ball. I object to being asked to long sight npcs merely for the purposes of killing them, whether for the items of for the experience. Unless you have a good reason for such a request, it will also most likely be unsuccessful.
