Came up with a theme for this site. Very little news coverage goes beyond local - or stay on the internet long enough for others to catch it. My hometown and Vancouver Island as a whole have had some fantastic musicians stay awhile and/or pass through. A bit of old info,a bit of new. Some have done the Malaspina Jazz Program, others are connected to them,or else they're just damn interesting as to how they started music. More to follow.

Trivia: Both Pat and Steve attended the Malaspina College Jazz program at the same time. When Pat was 2nd year, and Steve 1st year.
