UPCOMING LITTERS...

We usually breed only one litter a year, rarely more. Breeding dogs is not a money making venture if done correctly, and takes much research, money and effort on our part. Wynmar Labradors breed black and yellow Labradors, with temperament being our top priority. Pedigrees of parents are thoroughly searched for gentic problems in health and other issues. Both parents must themselves be certified for hip, elbow and eye diseases. First and foremost, they must be a dog that can be a quality member of the family. Our dogs are all house dogs, and know their manners. Training is also very important in making a Labrador a well-liked pet. For more information about upcoming litters or finding other reputable breeders, please contact us.

Our puppies are sold on a limited registration, as suggested by the American Kennel Club (See AKC Limited Registrations), having had their first vet exam, shots, wormings, and are microchipped for permanent identification. We take our job as breeders seriously, and stay in touch with our puppy owners for the life of the puppies, when possible.

All prospective puppy adopters are well-screened, having been asked many questions about their life style, every family member's desire for a puppy, time willing to spend in training, type of house and yard, financial ability to take on a dog for 12-14 years, as well as other important factors. We do not sell more than one puppy to a household at a time. Each puppy needs to bond with the family and get their undivided attention. Wait a few months to a year before adding a second dog to the home. Also, care is taken in placing a puppy in a home with very small children, as the puppy will grow much faster. Both need a lot of structure and training. Sometimes it is better to wait till the child/children are a little older. We ask that any family considering a puppy to make an effort to come and meet our family and dogs.
