OK, so now we deeper into my character. I'm a big X-Men fan, which is where i got my nickname. I collect 3 Marvel comic books, X-Men, Uncanny X-men, and X-Man. I like Apocalypse because he never seems to die (ok, so what comic character actually dies?). He's powerful, and merciless, even though he is a villain. Some people have described me as that.

I am the 8th of 10 children in my family. Hey talk about the 10% quota. I am 1 of 5 boys (and if you do the math, it means i have 5 sisters :P ) My parents were quite busy. All my siblings have gone through, or are presently in, college. I've already graduated from college! Yay! I got myself a double degree, one in biology and one in chemistry (I made use of my tuition money). I worked in a lab as a chemist for 2 years. It wasn't not much fun, but it paid the rent.

ADDENDUM
As of March 15th, 1999, I have been officially accepted into the PhD Program at UCSF for Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Yay!!!!

July 28th, 2000
I survived the Millenium, and my first year as a grad student. I'm happy. Living in the Outer Sunset with a roommate, and tryin g to adapt to the new environment and people. So far it has been a rough transition, but I feel I will make it work. Crossing my fingers.

A BLAST TO THE PAST
I realized that I was gay when I was in the 9th grade. I had gay "thoughts" ever since the fourth grade, but never knew that it was anything gay related. I didn't grasp the concept of homosexuality until the the 9th grade. I was always attracted to my male teachers (but oddly never to my male classmates). After the 9th grade, I fell into denial and a deep depression. All I heard were bad things about "fags" and it scared me that I might be one. It took me 6 years before I could confront myself and define my sexual identity. It was easier than I thought. But that was due to the fact that I was fortunate to have very good friends. Without them, I wouldn't be where I am today. :)

THE FUTURE
Well I hope to one day be successful in my career. I would like to travel the world and see the beauty of this planet. Of course, I would prefer to do that with someone I love and care for. Is there a Mr. Right out there? I guess I will know someday. I'm in no hurry. In the meantime, I like to hang out with my friends, both straight and gay, and enjoy life. I'm also an IRC addict and you can find me on the EFNET as Apoc_UCSF.
