About Machine Quilting

Machine quilting is achieved by hand guiding a large special built sewing machine over a quilt rolled on three stretcher bars. A pantograph design on the table of the machine is then followed with a laser light or stylus binding the three layers together.

Pantographs are patterns placed on the quilting table and followed with a laser light. These are applied over the whole quilt for a lovely texture. Most of our pantographs are purchased from individual artists.

These may be pantographs, free motion, stenciled on the quilt or custom design that are one of a kind, drawn to match the piecing in the quilt top. I have also designed custom pantographs for all over application.

Example A quilt measuring 80 x 90 would be:    $43.01 for quilting    $7.21 for batting    $14.16 for binding Custom quilting is individually priced. More intricate all over designs begin at $8.50

Basic Prices List $7.75 per square yard for quilting $1.30 per square yard for 3.3 oz. batting $0.50per lineal foot for binding using your fabric
