Some Images Of Pope John Paul II

Some Shocking Images

There have been several incidents in which Pope
John Paul II engaged in "ecumenical" events which
many traditional Catholics view as scandalous or
promoting indifferentism.

On 27 October 1986 we witnessed one of the most disastrous
decisions made by any pope in the entire Church history --

The calling together by Pope John Paul II of representatives
from a dozen regigions to pray for world peace at Assisi on
this date was the cause of a great scandal in the full
sense of the word. We must be thankful that there was no
common prayer and that each religion offered their prayers
individualy. Amongst those present were Hindus, Moslems,
Shintoists, Zorastrians and African Animists who prayed to the
Great Thumb.

To their credit, the Evangelical Protestants rejected an
invitation from the Pope to participate, as they quite
rightfuly stated, the event could only be seen as an infraction
of the First Commandment and the destruction of boundaries
between Truth and falsehood :
---
(New York Times) --- The day produced some extraordinary
cultural encounters. The Buddists, let by the Dalia Lama,
quickly converted the altar of the Church of San Pietro by
palcing a statue of Budda on top of the Tabernacle and setting
prayer scrolls and incense burners around it.
---

Very few Catholics, even the most orthodox, have been
willing or able to face up to the gravity of the Assisi event.

That they did happen is a very sad and lamentable event.

At that time, several Cardinals and Bishops did speak
out against this; and we are certainly entitled to do
so as well.

We are entitled to bring our misgivings to the Pope's
attention, and given the gravity of the matter, to make
them public in a respectful manner.

For this reason the following images are presented below.

We also ought to give him every benefit of the doubt-- that
he was perhaps carried away by 'ecumenism' or that these
events were planned by other members of the hierarchy and
that the Holy Father was too weak to stop them.

Above all we must pray for him.
