Friend Forever

So much hidden in me
But how to let it go
I just have to tell somebody
I need someone to know
There's things I need to share
Someone to understand
One who'll never fail me
A friend to hold my hand
I turn my face up to the sky
And leave my past behind
I feel a warm assurance
That comes from Jesus Christ
He's a friend forever
One who understands
Sympathizing with me
He's more than just a man
When the world around me fails
