Directed by Miss Janey Silver, the Mancos Band led an extremely successful season this year.
This year the Bluejay Marching Band performed a Swing theme that included 'In the Mood,''It Don't Mean a Thing' (if it don't got that swing), a Gene Krupa style drum solo and 'Sing Sing Sing.'
At the Regional Competition in Delta, the Mancos Band took Second in the Parade, Second Overall in the Inspection and Second in the Field Show.
Losing the opportunity to perform in the State Finals, due to certain circumstances imposed by the weather and some other personnel problems, the caption awards Mancos received for the Preliminaries were: Best Auxillary,
The drum majors were Melissa Keller and Sven McNeil. The Percussion Section Leader was Jared Whitehead and Auxillary captains were; Tiffany Young, Desirae Bazile and Lacey Morris.
The Band had a total of sixty three Band members. Seniors were:
