these are a few of my favorite

[Links]

Dot's Padded Room - my sister's webpage. Really quite very amusing. Check out her feature :)

CNN.com - what would I do without this website? This and my phone; my only connections to the outside world.

Palmer Hall - a bit of shameless self-promotion; this is the webpage I've made for my residence. House president Jennie's in charge of it this year, *sob, so sad to see my baby go, but I know she's in good hands.

Dawson's Creek - yeah, I'm addicted. It's embarrassing. But this place is awfully amusing - Mighty Big TV, hilarious summaries for each episode.

Calvin and Hobbes - I was so sad to see this comic retired. Fortunately, this site is releasing each C&H comic, 11 years after it was first published (well, I already own all the books, but this is still pretty cool).

This is the most interesting webjournal I've come across, little. yellow. different. A glimpse in the slightly frightening, but v. fascinating world of the webloggers, and people who almost live online. Also check out SURVIVORblog, sort of like Survivor (which I've never, ever seen) online, except probably more sex references (wouldn't know, haven't seen the show). I vote for Ann. Except from blog (so as to persuade you to go):

ann — 6:00 PM — outwit, outlast, outwrite

Aw crap. Tony's helpful pit link put me into one of those everlasting porn loops. Why do I click? Why?

I've got Prince's Sexy M.F. stuck in my head, thanks to MJ's advice on full-assed flirting. But I'm not complaining, believe me.

I am also very relieved to hear that I can be a bespectacled anime hero. Phew!

[Asian, Taiwan-related links]

(just so you know, I'm very pro-Taiwan independence, and very interested in Asian-American issues. I'd minor in Asian-American studies if they had it at mta.)

Asian/AM Feminist resources to tell the truth, I haven't really checked this place out entirely myself, but I plan to, and in the meantime, you should!

yellow journalism @ hardboiled.org - self-described as a 'highly organized, take-no-prisoners, paramilitary journalistic juggernaut based at UC (United Corporation of) Berkeley'

[Johnathan* recommends]

The Internet Movie Database - Simply the best online area for movie geeks like me.

Seanbaby.com - Seanbaby has a lot of rage, but he channels it in such amusing ways... also, his affiliate sites: OldManMurray, Portal of Evil, etc. are a hoot.

The Onion | America's Finest News Source - It really is... really.

Snowcraft - You play three tiny, snowball- hurling tots, up against the might of hundreds of... tiny, snowball-hurling tots... in different jackets! Time-wasting fun for when you shouldn't be wasting time.

Sluggy Freelance - I am a tremendous Netcomic geek, and this is my very favorite: aliens, ferrets, rabbits with knives, guys named Riff and Torg: this one has it all.

The Brunching Shuttlecocks - Huzzah! Huzzah! Des Shuttlecocks Brunching! Huzzah!
