Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a die-hard advocate of the NMDP. I have been on their donor registry for about 8 years now, and I have done lots of volunteer work with them during that time as well. There are thousands of people awaiting bone marrow transplants, and many of these people will die for lack of a donor. Adding your name to the list of potential donors is as simple and painless as donating a small amount of blood.
