The School

The Ondo state Unity Secondary Schools are babies of the Ondo State Ministry of Education, Akure. They were established among other things to foster Unity within Nigeria in general and Ondo State in particular. It is equally the aim of the Ministry to establish some model schools with a few older schools that will set standard for the generality of secondary schools in the state. The aim of this school is to develop the students academically, morally and equally inculcate into the students the spirit of peaceful co-existence. For this reason, it is compulsory for every student to be a boarder.

This school is a co-educational institution. Our students are given the opportunity of moral training such that will make them reliable, trustworthy and responsible men and women in whatever vocations they may find themselves in future. The school ensures that no student experiences any form of intimidation or oppression. It equally ensures that all students enjoy the even share of all the available facilities and amenities at the disposal of the institution.

The first set of the school wrote the Senior School Certificate Examination of the West African Examination Council in May/June 1991 with remarkable performance. The curriculum of the school at the Junior Secondary level caters for all disciplines with emphasis on Science and Introductory Technology while at the Senior Secondary level, it is comprehensive and diversified in nature in order to cater for the general interest of every student of the institution.
