The M.T. LASSIA dramatically demonstrated the dangers of incorrect ballasting in November 1999. The back of the vessel simply could not take the strains exerted by the cargo, when basic ballasting procedures are mis-calculated. Did anyone hear a creaking noise, I wonder ? |  |
