Winter 2004
~Today I made a decision I've been working towards for a long, long time. One that most artists will understand I hope. I have started the process of taking down all the galleries, all the images that do not belong to me and I do not have permission to use. It has been a while in coming. When I first opened this site I was joining a trend I'll admit. Collect as many images online as possible for a chosen theme and build the biggest, best site possible. Give credit if possible, otherwise just say the images belong to someone else unknown, I am not trying to make any money off it. Seemed fine to me at the time, just a few small moral quibbles, but it's all public domain if it is online...right? Well, I have rethough that long and hard for over a year, especially since I have been developing my own artwork. I have seen how fiercly artist protect thei copyright, their living. I came to the conclusion that I could not take that away from these artist. Yes, in a way it was free promotion...but only if anyone bothered to track down the real artist. So, I'm clearing this of all this as possible. I hope to make this a site featuring myself and possibly my friends. It might turn into a studio infact. Please understand my decision. As I said this was a hard one to make. I love bringing joy to as many as possible, and I hope to find new exciting ways to do so. Please leave any questions or comments about this in my guestbook.
