If you're asking yourself 'what is an RPG', you shouldn't be here right
now. RPG's come in many forms, from the traditional pen-and-paper RPG's
(like AD&D), to console RPG's, to online RPGs (like MUDs and MUCKs).
This will be broken down into categories, starting with online RPG's.
Sarazak's
Hideout - My page on Dragonrealms, one of the largest text-based RPG's
around. Includes my Verb List, and my page on weapon statistics.
MUCK
Logs - Logs from my personal RP experiences, on various MUCKs. Take
a look.
Rika's Corner -
Not local to my page, but worth a look as well. Everything, and I mean
EVERYTHING, a newbie MUCKer should know before starting to RP. Lots of
handy documents here.
Then there's console RPG's... and, of course, the fun of emulation! Whee!
RPGamer - Best source of information
around for console games. Some sites have more info for certain games,
but NONE have this much info for so many games.
Emulation.net - If you don't have
the console in question, you might want to play the games anyway. That's
what this page is for - Macintosh emulation of all types.
SNES9x - For windows emulation needs,
focused almost entirely on SNES emulation, however.
Happy Happy! Joy Joy! Here's the Final Fantasy 5 ROM
for your enjoyment! Translated! I make no claims to dumping it, or translating
it, I just have it here because it's so cool. ^_^
If FF5 isn't enough for you (yeah, right), here's the ROM
for Lufia: Fortress of Doom. An old-style SNES RPG, it's unique in that...
nobody's ever played it. Heh. Er, anyway, it's certainly not FF6, but it's
interesting in it's own right.
Or, if you'd prefer plain old NES ROMs, here's the Dragon Warrior 4 ROM
(the best NES RPG easy, minus a few stupid game mechanics), and the Lolo
3 ROM
(a difficult puzzle game). Don't say I never gave you nothing!
I picked up an import deck of FF7 playing cards. Most of the cards show
scenes from the game, character sketches, etc., but the club suit had kawaii
SD character sketches I hadn't seen anywhere else! so, for your enjoyment,
here they are: Sephiroth,
Aerith,
Tifa,
Yuffie,
Vincent,
Cid,
Barret,
Red
XIII, Cait
Sith, and Cloud.
Okay, this isn't from an RPG, but it is a from a console game. A scan of
Justice,
from the Atlus fighter 'Guilty Gear'. One of the best 'mecha' designs I've
seen. I'm mostly putting this up in hopes that someone's seen a better
version of this picture... had to scan this one from PSM (came out rather
nice for it's original small size, but it's still blurry).
And then there's the tradtional RPGs:
Custom rules I have made will be added at a later date. Probably much later.
*sweatdrop*
TSR - Some call them villains, other
heroes, but either way, modern RPG's wouldn't be the same without them.
White Wolf Game Studios - The Shishio
to TSR's Kenshin (take that as you will)! Well, not quite, but it seems
that way at times, if you read newsgroups... Take that as you will.
