LUNAR: Eternal Bluewas originally released into America in 1995, by the company Working Designs, and it's story was based around the adventures of Hiro, Lucia and the baby red dragon Ruby as they traveled across the world of LUNAR in search of the Goddess Althena; the only person powerful enough to stop the resurection of the God Zophar, destroyer of the Blue Star. Unlike the first installment to the series LUNAR: The Silver Star, Eternal Blue brought us into the midst of mystery and intrigue that never really ended even after the game (and the epilog) were finished. Never the less, it was widly believed that Eternal Blue was equal with it's predisessor, and it won a place in our hearts eternally.
The original versions of LUNAR on the SEGA CD were really well put togther, and they brought back to RPG's somting that was missing: good ol' dirty fun! Working Designs trademark humor ran rampent through the games, and help to make talking to towns people less of a chore. As well, with the addition of numerous (and intresting) cinema cut scenes to help tell the story and dialouge in the gameplay itself, (these factors in LUNAR: Eternal Blue espically) you could sit back and relax while having pieces of the story reveal themselfs to you. The dialouge and cut sceans also added another point to the game play, that was anticipation! While I played the games there was always the anticipation for the next scean that drove me on through hunger pains and tiredness.
