Welcome to Jeanette, the ONLY widdle page dedicated to the cute, and somewhat weird, kleptomaniac of the Ranma 1/2 series, Azusa Shiratori. Azusa is one half of Kolkhoz High School's Golden Pair of Martial Arts Paired Figure Skating (the other half being the sex-obsessed neurotic, Mikado Sanzenin). I call this a widdle page because there isn't a whole lot of stuff on Azusa, especially pics.
Azusa has quite an interesting hobby. When she finds something she likes, she names it on the spot (usually a french name) and takes it home with her. Some people may call this theft. However, once she lays claim to something she almost always gets it, and if she doesn't, she becomes somewhat violent (Sanzenin has the bumps to prove it). P-chan (Charlotte) is the only exception I know of that Azusa was unable to keep.
Azusa appears in the Series as a girl who "finds" P-chan running around in a skating rink. She proceeds to pick him up and hit him on the head with "Marianne" the mallet, names him "Charlotte" and takes him. Akane soon spots P-chan (with Ranma's help) and tries to get him back. Sanzenin, takes Charlotte away from Azusa and returns him to Akane. This obviously angers Azusa, and she begins to beat on Sanzenin with her hands, an ashtray, and a chair, but is stopped before she uses a table. At this point she challenges Akane to a skating match... of course Akane accepts.
Azusa runs into Akane once more before the match, literally. During this escapade, she puts a collar on Charlotte with his name on it. Akane tries to remove it but it's locked on. The actual match, which happened to be called the "Charlotte Cup", was quite interesting. Unfortunately, Azusa and Sanzenin eventually lost, but not to Akane and Ranma. They lost to the Pig-tailed One (Ranma-Girl-type) and a boy wearing Charlotte's collar (Ryouga). They lost because Sanzenin got tripped and then whacked over the head by Azusa, with a rather large mallot. The blow of the mallot caused the ice in the rink to be split up, and Sanzenin was carried off on a stretcher. Azusa, however, did not come out of the match empty handed. She got Sanzenin's blanket "Martina" after beating him over the head with a chunk of ice from the rink.
As far a I know, Azusa never really appears again in the series except for brief moments in the odd shows which is too bad because she has got to be one of the most wierd and funny character of all.
