Squall is the main character in Final Fantasy VIII. The scar is form a training session with his rival, Seifer Almasy, which got out of hand. He fights with a gunblade, a gun-cross-sword kind of thing. Squall always wears a silver necklace with a lion pendant, a symbol engraved on his gunblade too.
