The Play of the Deck

The overall object of the deck is to keep up the powerblows and headshots to the upper right of the deck. The other 8 basic attacks are best used to forcing them to drop the Upper or Right Guards. If the shot is going to the upper right, make it a headshot or a powerblow. I like to try a headshot early on, just in case you get lucky. It is generally best to save them for time when you have run them low on UR blocks and dodges. The Master Stance/Master Block combo is a nice one to pull off, but not key to the deck. You can afford to take a little damage with this deck. Just remember to keep the powerblows going to the upper right. Once your opponent can predict where they are going, you can even slip in a Duck/LL Powerblow just to throw them off.

Get The Gathering and Master Advance out early. If they cannot run to Holy Ground and they are out of blocks to the UR, your Master Advance will seal their fate.

There are 6 promotional cards in this deck.

The Greenfield Hobby is not key to the deck, although it can be useful when up against cheese decks.. It can be replaced with Police:Event
The Illusory Terrian is not key to the deck, although it is very effective at Location Control. It can be replaced with any location.
The Gathering is not key to the deck and can be replaced with Carl.
Princes of the Universe is not key to the deck and can be replaced with Lost Love.
Ancestral Blade is key to the deck. This deck, although large, does not do too well when forced to exert. They can be replaced with continuity.

The Play of the Deck

If there has ever been a one-trick pony, this is it. This deck relies on one thing. The Bloodlust. Get it going EARLY. I have won many games with this in the first turn. Then taking the poor fool's head on the second. The potential for massive amounts of damage is incrediable. However, one meek Master's Block will just kill you dead, however. In most lean and mean decks, there is just no way they can survive. Get The Gathering out, Bloodlust them. Game over. Unless they have a Master's Block.

There are 2 promotional cards in this deck.

The Gathering is a key component to this deck. They can be replaced with Carl. The Gathering is included in the deck to prevent Holy Ground from being played when Bloodlust is played.

6 Iron Will 1 Ancestral Blade *

The Play of the Deck

Break their weapon and take their head. This is one fast moving deck. There are 3 ways to get rid of their weapon. Disarm/Forged Steel, Honed Weapon, and Break Weapon. Try to get rid of their weapon as quickly as you can. Do not wait until you get 5 of the Iron Wills in your hand. Take a chance. This deck cycles quickly.

There are 2 promotional cards in this deck.

Forged Steel is a key component, but can be replaced with Honed Weapon. Disarm should stay in the deck, even if Forged Steel is removed. Ancestral Blade is not a key component to the deck, but it does work better with it. I would recommend adding a 4th Kurgan Back Away if this card is removed.

1 Safe Haven * 2 Careful Planning

The Play of the Deck

Basic cheese deck with a touch of heal. Sit behind the Safe Haven, the Master Block/Stances and pop them with the punks and mob/careful planning. Do not attack unless forced until both Toadies strike. There should be plenty of defenses with the basic 6, the dodges and the master block/stance combo. This deck has been more effective as a Toadie / Attack - Power Blow than by direct damage. Exertion can be a killer, but the Toadies can help offset the card-loss. Renee Delaney is obviously no friend of this deck.

The 3 promotional cards in the deck are the Pre-Game Darius, Safe Haven and Ancestral Blade.
Safe Haven can be replaced by Verona Italy, which may be more effective, but lacks the anti-cheese portion of Safe Haven.
Ancestral Blade can be replaced with Continuity.
The Pre-Game Darius is for an additional Toadie. The Darius and Toadie can be replaced by an additional Kiss Your Butt Goodbye, without much loss.

The Play of the Deck

Take their weapon then take their head. Amanda has the advantage of attacking and disarming. There are 2 ways to get rid of their weapon. Disarm/Forged Steel or Honed Weapon when they make a Power Blow. Distract will keep you away from them until you can get Flashback, Iron Will and a Disarm ready. Try to get rid of their weapon as quickly as you can. Forged Steel needs to come out quickly, use Alex Johnson to get it back if you exert past it or it gets removed. Use Elizabeth Vaughn to get what you need in your hand. For an Amanda deck, this one is thin on attacks, so save those upper attacks until you are ready to take their head! Your only chance is to get rid of their weapon long enough to take their head.

There are 2 promotional cards in this deck.

Flashback is not really a key component. This card, from the promotional cards released with the director's cut of the first movie, allows you to reclaim your last played edge card by discarding it once it is in play. Great for getting an extra Iron Will or reclaiming that Alertness: Dodge.
Forged Steel is a key component for the Break aspect, but can be replaced with Honed Weapon or another Disarm.
