The FTL Tug was never
meant for combat, thus it's defences are poor, simply a single PDS system.
No screens or armor of any kind and it's thrust rating, because of the
weight it has to carry is only four. So missions where one will have to
go in, hook up with a ship, turn around and get out may be in the line
of fire long enough for it to be destroyed. Non the less, it is a vital
craft. It can tug all vessels described in the Full Thrust Fleet Book.
Some races has developed their own specific FTL tugs, because they have
less mass to tow and less for the drive package, they can afford more defences
and the like.

This version of the marine
landing craft can do it all. It carries 10 cargo of marines, thus10 dice
offence when taking over vessels and stations. Equiped with light armor,
level one screens and a few PDS ensure it gets to it's target. The 3 missile
salvos ensure that the target is damaged enough thus to cripple any resistance
force the ship may retaliate with (1 defence dice per 4 hitpoints).
