Entered WCW in July... Wrestled a couple of losses against WCW cruiserweight
champ Dean Malenko as well as Steve Regal... Scored his first WCW win in August over Jerry
Lynn... Lost a Cruiserweight title match to Rey Mysterio Jr. in September... Kidman got another
Cruiserweight title match against Dean Malenko in December, suffering another loss
1997
Began wrestling in ECWA and occasionally other independents as Kid Flash while continuing to
work WCW in his spare time... Lost in the semi-finals of the ECWA TV tournament to the
Cheetah Master in February... Lost a US title match to Eddie Guerrero in March... Wrestled the
main event match on WCW Pro losing to Ric Flair... One day in October, Kidman walked out in
grunge and hopped over the rail joining up with Raven's Flock... Began feuding with Chris Benoit
along with the rest of the Flock
1998
Began winning matches much more often... Was briefly unemployed in May when Raven fired
the Flock and then rehired them the following week
