Introduction:
I implemented this simulation game about managing icehockey teams, because I always wanted to play swiss league seasons, but I couldn't find anything suitable on the market. So I thought, there are other people wanting the same thing (playing their favorite league). That't the reason why I created this program ! With Al's Hockey Manager you can play ANY league YOU want ! And it's Shareware. If you like the program, you have to register it. If you don't like it, just delete it from your harddisk.

Al’s Hockey Manager consists of two parts: The League Editor and the Manager Game.

The League Editor
With the league editor you can create any league you want with any number of teams, any players you want. Many league modes are availabe (number of divisions, number of rounds, playoff modes, foreigner restrictions, ...). Attaching Player pictures and team logos to your own league is supported !

The Manager Game
The Manager Game is the actual game. Here you can play season after season your created league with your favorite team. You can buy/sell/trade players, determine the expenses for the youth support, prolonge contracts with your players, do training, tactics and lineup, coach the team during the games, check the standings and stats, take care about injuries and motivations of your players, and much more !

At the moment, following leagues are already created and ready to play: NHL, DEL, Swiss, Spengler, Euro, WM

It runs under Windows 95 and higher as well as under Windows NT 4.0 and higher.

Installation procedure for the Hockman program:
Create a new directory (e.g. "mydir") and unzip all the downloaded file in "mydir".
And then start "setup.exe" and follow the instructions !

Installation procedure for the league files:
Unzip the downloaded file(s) in the installation directory of Al's Hockey Manager
(the directory containing the subdirectories "bin", "leagues", "pics" and "games")
with the (Win)Zip-Option "Use folder names" enabled

Note: If the zip files are corrupted, try again to download, because sometimes the Geocities server is very unstable! You can also try to download the Hockman program from ZDNet or Hockman program plus swiss league file from ZSCWeb at "Cool" where you also can find a forum. The whole stuff can also be downloaded from the Ambri Fanpage at "Fans".
