The Current Plan is to have all new weapons in the game and a bunch of new items. Some thing that we are currently looking at is how to change the player screen to reflect a larger number of weapons.

Also there will be an inventory so items can be saved and used later - this may work something like duke nukem 3d's inventory, percentage used type of system. We have currently outlined the basic type of new weapons, some really cool stuff.

Look for screen shots of the new weapons in the coming weeks. I will also be putting descriptions of the weapons we are currently playing around with - not all of these will be in the final product.

A BOARD WITH A NAIL IN IT

Axes are nice when you got them, but most times you just got to use whats around. Almost on any mission you can find some scrapes of wood and metal sitting around. Not the weapon of choice but this weapon has been know to save / kill a life now and then. There are stories of this weapon being stuck on an enemy, its sad and funny to see a monster running away from you with a board stuck to its butt. This weapon does not use any ammo and is always around. This weapon will be on impulse 1. This weapon is done.


SAW BLADE TOSSER!

A nice little weapon :). One of the strange thanks bout this world is the number of saw blades sitting around. Will you figured that this could be a really cool weapon. You remember hearing bout a toy from the past called a flying disc. Well these saw blades fly also. Uses 1 saw blade at a time. There is no weapon for this item just ammo. Once you find some ammo you can begin to start tossing them around. The ammo comes in packs of 5 and you can carry a maximum of 20 at a time. There is a 1% chance that the blade will hit the neck of the enemy causing instant death. This weapon will be on impulse 1. This weapon is done.



THE CLAW!

A prized weapon that is hard to come by. The Berbalang created a large number of weapons based on the parts of there enemies. This weapon is much like a morningstar but using the hand of a Dakon instead of a spiked ball. This weapon when thrown will shot out bout 10 feet in front of you. If the weapon hits a solid object it will grip allowing you to pull yourself over to that location. If it hits a enemy target it will attach itself to them causing damage till you release. Unlike some other developed morningstars the enemy is still able to shoot you while you are attached. Some enemies are even know to jump into lava (taking you with them) while trying to escape from the Claw. The weapon must be found in the world that you are exploring. Uses no ammo. There is a powerup (see last image) that allows the claw to have a much longer distance for bout 30 seconds. This weapon will be on impulse 1. This weapon is done.





THE SHOTGUN!

This is the standard Quake Shotgun. This weapon will be on impulse 2


THE SUPER SHOTGUN!

This is the standard Quake Super Shotgun. This weapon will be on impulse 2


THE RAPID FIRE SHOTGUN!

When you really want to mow down an incoming army, switch to theRapid fire Shotgun. In Rapid Fire the shotgun fires single shots in rapid succession - Pure Killing Power. There are a few disadvantages to using the Rapid Fire setting. The obvious massive use of ammo. The contiunous kickback makes aiming a little difficult- the wide spread helps compinsate for this. Also the kick back will cause some damage to the user, after a fifty shot burst. The weapon has somewhat of a poor design when it comes to cooling. The shotgun has a tendency to overheat and explode on a 100 shot or more burst. The weapon holds up to 200 rounds of standard shotgun shells. Notice on the picture the wide area of shotgun blast. This is truly damaging weapon. This weapon will be on impulse 2. This weapon is done.


STANDARD CHAIN GUN

The classic chain gun still very affect in mowing down the evils of the world. The weapon has a good rate of fair and fairly good damage. The main advantage of this weapon is the wide area of attack. Ammo is easy to come across and holds a maximum of 200 rounds. This weapon is 100 percent done. This weapon will be impulse 3.




ENHANCED CHAIN GUN

The bigger brother of the classic chain gun still even more affectfy in mowing down the evils of the world. The weapon has a excellent rate of fair and very good damage. This weapon has the same area affect as the chain gun but is much faster and does more damage. This weapon uses the same ammo as the chain gun and holds the same maxium load.This weapon is 100 percent done. This weapon will be impulse 3




VIRUS PISTOL - EBOLA STRAIN

A truly warp scientist came up with this one. This is a small pistol that pack a punch. The entire planet of earth as almost destroyed by the ebola virus a number of years ago. Just before the entire human race was wiped out, a young scientist figured out a way to control and cure the virus. The scientist also became fascinated with the virus. He began to work with the virus and was able to create several strains, many that were even more deadly. One of the strains had all the deadly side affects of the virus but not as contagious. During his work he went mad, no one is exactly sure why, i believe it was the death of his wife. His work then took a sinister turn. He developed a weapon that shot out a dart filled with the virus. With this simple weapon he almost wiped out the planet he had saved years earlier. He was stopped, but his weapon fell into the hands of a even deadlier force - the government. The weapon was acquired by the military and is now a standard in the arsenal. This pistol fires a small dart filled with the ebola virus. If it hits its target it releases its venom. The target begins to take damage. When the target takes enough damage to kill an ordinary person and a half it loses its strength and dies. When your enemy reaches very close to death, he/she/it will lose the entire structure of its skin and explode into a mass of flesh. Additional shots from the pistol will not have any affect on and infected target. Very small supplies of the virus can be found, typically only viles of 2 doses can be found. The pistol on holds a maximum of 50 shots. This weapon will normal act just as a dart gun doing a small amount of damage. But when you get the powerup (see the second image) you will have 30 seconds of shooting ebola darts. The powerup will also cleanse your system of the ebola virus if you have it. This weapon is 90 percent done. This weapon will be impulse 4



ROCKET LAUNCHER

This is the standard rocket launcher from the game with two changes. The first is that the rockets move about 75% as fast and there is a powerup in the game that gives 30 secs of homing missiles to both the rocket launcher and the swarm. The homing missiles travel and additional 25% slower This weapon will be impulse 6




THE SWARM

This weapon fires 5 missiles on a slight spread. Each weapon does less damage than a single rocket but cover a larger area of effect This weapon is 90% finished This weapon will be impulse 6




ENERGY PULSE RIFLE

This weapon shoots out slow moving energy balls at a high rate Very Similar to the Plazma gun in doom. This weapon uses energy cells with a maximum load of 200 cells. This weapon is 80 percent done. This weapon will be impulse 7

B&D AIR HAMMER

Blank and Dacker's famous air hammer was developed from a mining jack hammer, the rumor is that the air hammer was not really developed by B&D but by alexis the non-follower. Who lead a mining revolt on Etuah 4 almost 100 years ago. B&D just refined and sold it, making it a big seller. The weapon sends out a pulse of air that hits the enemy like a sledge hammer causing some internal damage and sending them flying backwards into a wall, off a ledge, into the water or best into some lava. The weapon is rumored to have a couple of other properties. Some soldiers using the weapon have talked about being able to turn the weapon toward a wall or floor, discharging a round and being propelled into the air. It is also been rumored that the air pulse can change the course of other projectiles, even turning them back on them selfs. There has been no official response to these rumors. The weapon holds 20 charges, and each air canister pack has 4 shots.

HAND GERNADE

A true warrior does not need a gun to toss a gernade. Other than than the device to toss the gernade this is the same as the standard issue gernade launch. To use it all you need to find ammo for it. The gernades also have adjustable timing.

SHRINK GUN

An amazing piece of technolgy. One shot can reduce your enemy to half size, along with his ablity to run, jump and do damage. Once you enemy is shrunk you can just sit back and laugh at you half pint advesary. The weapon uses energy cells at a rate of 10 per shot with a maximum load of 200 shots.

FU2

The son of the BFG 9000 - One bad &#%$ weapon. This weapon shots out one large energy ball that explodes (in massive releasing massive damage) on impack into 20 smaller energy balls that each explode in 2 to 3 seconds later. When each energy ball explodes a lightning bolt is released that will seek out and strike the nearest enemy. A good warrior will runn when he/she hears this weapon power up. If you are unlucky enough to get hit by a direct hit from the main ball, you will be reduced to a pool of ... will lets no say. The weapon uses 75 energy cells and due to the large energy release when fired - will cause 75 points of damage to the users. The weapon can also be fired into the water, totally firing every thing in it.

All the weapons give kick back and work slightly different in the water. Some other items connected to use of weapons that are implemented in the project are explodable backpacks, transporters also transport rockets, bombs, etc, bombs can be exploded with nearby explosions, weapons and ammo can be tossed. Enemys are much more immune to certain weapons. Alot of the weapons are on the same impulse so if you hit 2 once it will be the shotgun hit it a second time it is the super shotgun and a third time it is the rapid shotgun. The current weapon for a certain impulse is remebered so if you switch to another impulse then back the last weapon on that impulse will be reselected. Also all weapons can be reached on a direct impulse. Here is a list of the current weapon selections.
