Introduction

Welcome to Global Diplomacy Survey v1.0

As you probably know I have mailed to all GD players (those who have been playing it since some months ago until 22 September), a survey about GD - My apologies to those who did not got the Survey because of some mistake I did.

I mailed the Survey to 175 players from which 173 received it. I got 35 replies.

This means that 20% of them replied to the Survey, which is from my point of view, a very good sample of what GD players think of some aspects of GD.

I want to thank to all those who have mailed me their answers to my questions. Without you this Survey would not have happened.

Here are their names: Aaron W. Newman, Alex Paci, Chant Wang, Damien Watson, Dry Hann, Eric Malinowski, Ferdi Koperdraad, Eugene Belchansky, Greg Maguire, Henri Doria, John Armstead, John Beardsley, Jorgen Jakobsson, Juan D. Fito, Manny Lopez, Mark Tilstra, Markus Daberkow, Ivan Picek, Michael Costich, Michael Holt, Michal Kaczmarek, Mikko Minkkinen, Nevio Biagini, Francisco Carelli, Paul Dalley, Prasad Mohandas, Rene Bisson, Richard Bradford, Richard Woo, Robert Buki, Rui Marques, Stephen Janda, Tim Bugler, Tim S. Lewis, Victor Sousa

Many thanks to Doug for helping me out with details about the Survey. Sorry for being such a pain for this last months, I guess that by this time you are trying to convince the Canadian Secret Agency to make me disappear.

And of course, my biggest thanks to Chris Kaye for making this survey public. Without your help I would probably loose some years trying to create a web page... J

In the next pages you will see the results of the 15 questions I put in the Survey.

In each question/page I have divided it in several parts, depending of the question I made for each one. But in the beginning of each one, there will be a graphic about the question itself and after it some other graphics about why have players choose that way. In the end there will be a final conclusion with something that has not been answered by the graphics or what I consider to be more important in it.

Trying to put the player's answers in conclusive facts was not very easy but I believe that the result is quite good. At the same time there will always be Citations from the players (to give a better idea of what people think, and because they are very interesting to read).

Yet I will never refer the name of those who have gave their personal thoughts about something to preserve their anonymity.

And forgive my poor english too. J
