I have been in the Navy for 16
years and I'm going to retire in 4
years.I Just transfered after working for SpaWar Beta testing and installation of Unix Systems on various commands. My Next Command is The USS DUBUQUE, In route to the ship they are giving me the best school the Navy Has to offer in security.

I'm still single because I know the divorce rate in
the Navy is high.
I'll wait till I'm 39 to start my life.<----But anything can
happen I Began my navy career as a cook. Since the navy gives you a few equivalent college credits for your job and navy training I turned those few credits into an Applied Science Associates degree by taking more classes in Food service Management.

Playing video games was the way I reduced stress from college. This influenced of my career change.

It all starting in 1995 when I was stationed at Earle.
I played Mortal Kombat 2 on the Sega Geneis with my good friend Loney Covington. We played and played all day and until our fingers fell off.
I finally realized that loney sucked at it :-D.
I went to the game store picked up the next version of the Mortal Kombat game and saw a 14.4 baud modem staring at me on the shelve (XBAND)so I bought it and started challenging people across the country.
XBAND was the gateway of my career change.
"Let me explain"
I used the XBAND MODEM cartridge adapter more then what it was for.
Xband was designed for email and simulated account info for players to view other players personal info.
I took it to the next level; I formed a Mortal Kombat club of champs called the JEDIS. 30 people joined up and linked there info until a big club was formed. "We had it all; menus, people; meeting places, challenges, links to other people". This club got real big it simulated a type of webring of pages linked into one topic. When XBAND shut down in 1996, the club decided to stay in contact and buy WEBTV'S. I transfered all our info and contacts into links from my 1st main page learning HTML though Webtv.
The club members stayed in contact and we started learning from each other designing websites. Remember, this was only 1996. We made webpages from a webtv unit. Amazing thing at the time is I didnt have a computer to to the designing. A few hurdles but That didnt stop us.
I made a one of the first WEBTV Webrings and most the JEDIS joined (WEBTV GALAXY RING). Year later the size of the ring had 400 people. NET4TV company contacted me and wanted me to stay and work for there company helping them design webpages.CLICK HERE FOR ARTICLE I had a great talent for programing html.
I had a taste of something more challenging which kicked me in the ass when I got to my sea next command The Stennis.

So I decided to change careers into something more challenging an IT (Infomation System Tech).
"I just wanted make a move and start a future and maybe one day, Ill start up my own groove".
