Fun story: A friend of mine, Greek, comes in St.Petersburg. His first question when I meet him was 'How do they know I'm a foreigner? I was asked to buy souveniers three of four times this morning. I don't want to be a 'moving target '.

Tip: if you don't want to be a 'moving target' you should at least change your clothes. Russians tend to wear cheap clothes of dark colours. Typical is a black leather jacket and black jeans. Ask a local friend of yours to help you with shopping.

Reports
Pedestrian streets in St.Petersburg -
Pedestrian streets are what I like best in foreign cities. Usually situated in town where streets are narrow and crooked they remind me of continuity of human activities from middle ages to nowadays.

Evolution of a bus-stop - 'Small things make a strong impression'. We should remember this basic design rule if we want to make our life better. These two busstops are just opposite each other on the same street. The difference is enormous.
