Hi, I'm Bustanul Arifin, the Director of the Institute for Development of
Economics and Finance (INDEF
), Jakarta-Indonesia, an independent research institution
aimed at providing assessments on a wide-range of public policy
issues related to economics and finance.
I'm also the Editor-in-Chief of the Quarterly Review of the Indonesian Economy
(QRIE), or in Bahasa Indonesia Bisnis & Ekonomi Politik
(BEP), a scientific journal devoted to the study of political
economy and business issues, focusing on encouraging transparency
in economic decision-making process in Indonesia.
My professional carrer starts at the University of
Lampung, teaching graduate program courses at University of Indonesia, and at Bogor Agricultural University (Indonesia), where I obtained my Sarjana degree in Agricultural Economics. I am holding a Ph.D. and masters' degree in resource economics from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison (USA), my lovely second home.
