I'm doing a disseration for my degree on British expats and their views of British National Identity. Questions that I am asking include 'Does the experience of living abroad change your views on Britishness and on Britain?', Do expats become closer to ea h other rather than to those that stayed in Britain?, Do expats feel stateless in that they are no longer 'at home' in either their posting or in the UK? Or do expats instead recreate a version of 'Little England' in their new country? I would be very grateful to anyone that could give me their thoughts on this matter at the e meil address above. I would also be happy to field enquiries into my research generally. Thanks in advance.
