Disabling JavaScript for Smoother Surfing.

Are pop-up windows bothering and confusing you? Maybe even crashing
your browser? You can elminate these hassles forever by simply turning off
your JavaScript, a simple 10 second process. Without JavaScript, sites
cannot pop up those extra windows on you. Without JavaScript,
webmasters also cannot hide or change the status bar at the bottom of
your web-browser. When you can accurately view the status bar at the
bottom, you can tell if a link is to real webpage and not a link to a sponsor because the name of the file will most likely end in a / or a .htm or .html.

Unfortunately, by disabling JavaScript you may miss out on some page
functionality. For example, some sites have interactive menu graphics that
animate when your mouse passes over them or have special navigation menus that require you to choose from a menu and press a button.

Sometimes popup consoles can be fun to use, but other times they are
annoying and crash your browser. Now you have a choice. If you want to
disable JavaScript in your browser and don't know how, then see the

All other browsers

If you have another type of browser that is JavaScript compatible, then
somewhere in your browser preferences you should be able to disable JavaScript. Look thru the menu options, you will most likely find the JavaScript controls under a menu heading or subheading titled "
Preferences", "Edit", "Security" or "Options". You will then find an item called JavaScript which you can disable by unchecking. If all else fails, try using your browsers Help features and looking up the word "JavaScript".
