My Thoughts

Love Generation, aired in 1997, was one of the highest rating drama in Japanese TV history.   There are many reasons why I like the show.  For instance, the music and songs in the drama are really very good, especially when Shiawase na Ketsu Matsu and Hear Me Cry was played in the show.

And I think Matsu Takako (who played Riko) is really cute - though I don't quite understand her reactions and feelings sometimes (well, how can guys understand gals anyway.......).  Kimura Takuya (Teppei) fits his role well too, except that he looked a bit haggard in certain scenes (that's the price of being the most popular male actor in Japan).

The plot of Love Generation is quite typical of what you can expect.  However, the drama is "packaged" very nicely - the music, the special items (crystal apple, giant poster board, kitty cat, etc).  That's probably why many people like this show.  Of course, there are people who tend to compare this drama with "Long Vacation", since the story is somewhat similar.  Although some prefer the latter,  I feel that they are both good, with equally good music and packaging......

As you can see, I especially like episode 5 of Love Generation, when both characters became an item.  This drama can be really quite hilarious in certain parts, especially when Riko and Teppei are bickering.  There are of course certain scenes when it is quite moving.  If you haven't watched it, I would highly recommend it to you......
