Thank you so very much Mr. Cummings for the autograph! I adore it! You are one of my favorites!

And thank you April, for getting his autograph for me!

  • my autograph from Jim

  • Thank you so much April, for the Autograph! I'll treasure it always!
  • The Out of this world Autograph from April Winchell!
  • With the luck of eBay, I was fortunate to come in contact with Winslow's fiesty soulmate SADIE! April Winchell, does her voice and was generous enough to email me. Here's some of the nice things she said, also revealing a little inside fun.:

    "Kristen,

I'm so sorry you didn't get the invitation. I was surprised when I saw how high it went, but I'm awfully glad. The money goes to a very good charity.

I know Peter! He's a very nice man. I did a few more cartoons for him, and they were very strange and dark (I love that). I did a few episodes of Catdog, at least two, maybe more. I played Winslow's girlfriend, but I can't remember the character's name. She was a ratty, nasty little thing. I think she was a card shark kind of hustler character. I remember the drawings reminded me of Rhea Perlman. My favorite part of working on the show was Jim, Tom and Billy. I am very fond of them. We were all very ill behaved and naughty, and I always left the sessions exhausted from laughing. They are each so sharp and bright and funny, and so very good at the kinds of characters they do. They each have a totally different sort of style and range. Jim took over the role of Tigger last year for my dad, who created the role. Jim and I have been doing cartoons together since about 1993, when we first met on a show called Goof Troop. We played husband and wife. I have worked with Tom on all kinds of shows, most recently Lloyd in Space.

    Thanks for bidding."

    April Winchell

**Here's a few other questions she answered for me, in later letters:**

Me: What were the names of the cartoons that you did with Peter, did any of them air yet?

April: "I did one called Kitty the Hapless Cat which did air, and another one about a girl with a zit, but I can't remember the name of it. The whole cartoon was about this big zit on her nose and there was a musical number where all the blackheads were singing...it was very odd."

Me: One question I have is if everything is strictly script or if there's some improvisation involved.

April: "This really depends on the show and who is running it. Some producers and writers are delighted to have actors come in and "beat the jokes"; that is, to come up with stuff that's funnier than what's on the page. But some shows are very strict and will get annoyed if you change a "that is" to a "that's". My recollection of Catdog was that they were happy to let you come up with stuff."

**Another recent voice she's done is Miss Finster from Recess.**

April: "I also do Miss Finster on Recess, who I love more than anything."

Thank you April, for letting me post this, your fans appreciate it very much.

I received an email from a volunteer of Make a Wish Foundation that a boy's wish is to meet CatDog. Good news! Nickelodeon has agreed to let the boy's wish come true. The actors of CatDog Jim and Tom are going to provide their talented voices. Thank you very much Nickelodeon and CatDog for helping out this boy. Read the letter:

Kristen- Thank you SO much for your compassion. The actors, who are the voices of Catdog have agreed to meet my wish child at Nickelodeon studios in NYC. Nickelodeon, has also sent some Catdog toys to him as well. The child is very excited about this news.

    Sincerely,

    Elena Olivieri

BIG BIG News for the CatDog Movie! Felicia owner of CatDog Central told me about it. read this found "Inside Nick".

Big Name Stars On The New Season Of "CatDog"...

It's the old story--you take a cat and a dog, you mash 'em together in animated form, and celebrities are bound to come crawling out of the woodwork, clamoring to get on your show. But who knew that a humble little project like "CatDog" would eventually boast an Oscar winner. This season, Billy Bob Thornton will be the voice of CatDog's father in a three part episode which introduces CatDog's parents. How's that for BIG TIME, Winslow? Don't know why we asked Winslow, just seemed appropriate at the time...anyway, we'll have more details on the parental episode in the future!

Malcolm from the Mailing List found some interesting CatDog news, in New York City. His letter reads:
  • Dear CatDog folks,

Guess what! As you may already know, I am in the Big Apple this weekend. My Aunt and I were at the Museum of Television and Radio yesterday, and we were greeted by a new Nickelodeon section. There was also an area with Nick stuff to buy. Unfortunately, they didn't include CD in a timeline of Nick's history, but I learned some interesting facts about Nick's earlier years. In THE Library they had one CatDog episode available for viewing (I believe the one with "Send In the CatDog"). Anywa, on our way out, Donna and I bought a cool Nick-themed UNO devk, featuring Nick characters. Cat and Dog together were pictured on the Reverse card, and Rancid Rabbit on the 7 in his authoritative pose. And the Greasers were pictured on the Wild card. It's basically the same UNO game you know, with one rule adaptaton. A new "Trade Places" card. If you play this card, it allows you to choose anothere player, and trade seats AND hands of cards with them, so your hand could have 7 cards, but if you trade places, you could trade with someone who has UNO, so that's pretty cool! I will enjoy this deck with my family back home.

LATEST NEWS! Stephany Kogele told us some interesting CatDog news on her visit to Nickelodeon. Here's what she wrote:
  • I just went to Nickelodeon to watch a taping of Figure It Out Wild Style and you won't belive who one of the panlists was...CatDog!!! The scary thing is, my brother was the first to notice! When he told me, I almost went jumping out my seat. They used computer animation which was pretty cool. I don't think the voices were actually Jim Cummings and Tom Keny. I think they just used sound-alikes. I don't know if they're in any other episodes. There were other fans there because before they actually started taping, the audience host was intoducing them and some other people were yelling and cheering. I was going ballistic compared to my normal personality. I'm not sure when that episode will air but I'll tell you as soon as I find out. There was also Danny Tamberelly, Christy from All That, and Karmer or something like that from Are you afraid of the Dark. I wasn't really paying any attention to them, though. I don't know if i was filmed, bt if I was, I'm the person with a black Universal shirt on.

Stephany Kogele sent the CatDog Mailing List a little CatDog news about the CatDog attractions at Universal Studios. Here's what she wrote:

  • Okay I said I was going to update on anything I hear about CatDog from Universal. Well, they have this sort of colleague of Nicktoons where you could stand on it and take a picture or whatever. They had CD right in the front but then they got rid of them. Later I noticed that they also took off the Rugrats they had on there so I don't know what's up with that. In the line to get into Nickelodeon they have a CD sign that's celebrating Nick's B-Day. When you first start the tour, they have a CatDog section where there are two t.v.'s continuously playing CatDog clips. They also have a bunch of CD pictures. I still say that section is too small. After that, there isn't much CD stuff. But in the Game Lab, which is at the end of the tour and you play 3 games, they have a new CD game. Two adults, husband and wife, go onto the stage and dress up as CD. They each have a Cat mask or a Dog mask, Cat for the red team, Dog for the blue team. They connect them with one of those tunnels that little kids came climb through. Then they pick 3 kids from each team. I raised my hand like crazy to get picked, but I wasn't. Oh, well. Anyways, the object of the game is to throw as many "collars" around Cat and Dog's head before the buzzer goes out. That's about it right now and they don't have anything CD in the Nick gift shop yet. But I'm sure they'll get some soon because I am slowly seeing more and more CDthings.

    1. E-mail letter I received from Christine Simone. Article she found in Nickelodeon Magazine.......

Kristen, I have been on the lookout for articles about CatDog in Nickelodeon magazine since you began your site. I was at the library a few days ago and came across this small interview with Peter Hannan from their October, 1998, issue. The cover shows Dog eating the candy from a plastic pumpkin. He is wearing a sheriff's outfit. Winslow is sitting on the couch laughing and Cat looks disgusted. He's covering his head (I guess he doesn't trust Dog to be able to get all the candy in his mouth!). Enjoy (if you don't have it already)!

    Chris :)

  • **(I took out the interview, because it's the standard one everyone has seen and knows, but left the letter up because it's remnants from a fan from the begining of this site, yes I know I'm sentamental heheh. :-)
    2. INTERESTING NEWS!! I just recieved information from Bob Rhode about Nabisco and Pepperidge Farms involved in a law suit about CatDog Cracker shapes. here's what he sent me:

Kristen, I read an article in toady's newspaper about a lawsuit involving CatDog. It came from the NY Times, so you should be able to find a copy on the web or it might appear in your local paper since it appeared in mine. It seems that Nabisco is ready to come out with some new cheese crackers called CatDog. They would be in the shape of CatDog, bones and fish. Pepperidge Farms, makers of Goldfish crackers, sued Nabisco claiming that the fish in CatDog were too similar to the fish in Goldfish. The judge ruled that Nabisco could not sell the new CatDog crackers. He decided that CatDog would blur and harm the Goldfish brand. Sounds pretty rotten to me. My parrot loves Goldfish, but I may have to boycott Pepperidge Farm. The bird shouldn't be eating them anyway, too fattening.

    Bob

I went to work right away to find more information, at the New York Times web site i found this summary:
  • NY Time's Summary of Article

Also i found some articles in Yahoo News about this dilemna:
  • Judge Blocks New Nabisco Cracker
  • Yahoo News Pepperidge Farm wins injunction vs. Nabisco

This is very interesting news. I'm in Nabisco's corner on this one. I don't think it's fair of Pepperage to be taking away this good idea. After all the crackers are not just fish but bones and CatDog shape. That would be so cute! What do you think CatDog fans?
3.Kathy Hardy-Kieffer Just sent me a press release about Burger King selling CatDog Kids Meal Toys, starting Feburary 22- March. The article also talks about, Nabisco, Kraft and Duracell also working on some CatDog promotions.
  • Burger King and other press releases
    4. Thanks again Christine Simon for this news. She has sent me an update about this coming week, and CatDog toys confirmed and spotted at Blockbuster. Here's What she Wrote:
  • Kristen,

This week on Nickelodeon there will be new CatDog episodes airing. They will be on at 8:30/7:30 central as part of Nick's Nickel-O-Zone. There is also a contest being run in connection with CatDog. I was at Blockbuster Video last night and there were two CatDog toys there. The tags said that they were Blockbuster exclusives. One was a stuffed animal CatDog and the other was a bendable CatDog. Both were nice sized. Talk to you again soon!

    Chris :)

    General fun from fans :-)
