James Best

Baisc Info:

After he graduated from high school, during WWII he served in Army Air Corps combat. After returning he began to get into acting and modeling. His first movie was a 1950 western "Comanche Territory" this was his first of a long long listof credits, which totaleed, even before the Dukes: eighty-three films, over six hundred television shows and theatrical productions in both New York and Europe. He ran aacting studio in Hollywood were he taught aspiring preformers.

The Dukes of Hazzard:

At first James did not want to do a series, and he thought the show was about a street gang, then he found out it was a gool ol boy thing, that was being filmed in Georgia, he took the chance to be a part of the show.
