Edge Runners

A circus funhouse, mirrors on all the walls. A single candle's light reflected thousands of times. Two companions, and a daughter look bemusedly from one distorted reflection from another. Nathair Sith gives up and flits over to play with the candle. Fhaolan shrugs, "Nexus, tha Infinite City. Given tha nature o' Infinite space, anything ye can imagine can take place here, an' far, far more."

Madadh grins at her father, "However, even an infinite space can have boundaries. Even Nexus has city limits."

The elder wolfen nods, "There are those tha' seek tae find where Nexus ends, an' find ou' what lies beyond. Those tha' do are called EdgeRunners, as they walk upon tha edge of wha' is, and wha' isn't."

"In particular, there are three EdgeRunners that come to mind. A former Soviet Cosmonaut, an Atlanean warrior-mystic, and a creature who's sheer alieness prevents easy communication." Madadh's wings beat lightly, fanning the candle's flame. The Nathair Sith chuckles, and fans right back at her, causing the candle the flare. Madadh shields her eyes, "These three, sometime enemies, sometime close companions, are the premier EdgeRunners of this age. And this time, they've found what they're looking for."

Fhaolan winces, as the light reminds him of other stories. Bringing himself back to the matter at hand, "They've foun' tha End o' tha World. Or tae be more precise, it foun' them."

The light flickers and dies, and the candle is exhausted.

"Some infinities are bigger than others."

"Storytime."
