The Fan Fiction
'Real Love' is the longest fan fiction that I have yet written, but it, in fact, was composed by myself and a best friend named Erica.
Imagine that John Lennon and Paul McCartney were not in the Beatles. That they were ordinary guys, albeit extremely handsome, and talented. It is the 1990s. Two girls named Marianne and Erica are finally going to highschool. It is the first day...Marianne finally meets Paul, who is the beau of the school. They talk to each other...they fall in love.
Erica and John are the same, but arguments and misunderstandings haunt their path.
These two people, John and Paul, are the only hints of Beatle-ism. In fact, within the story's plot, I have attempted to confuse the reader with references to the Beatles. FOR REASSURANCE: John and Paul in this story ARE the Beatles. In 'Real Love', John and Paul are two guys that girls dream about having. They ARE the Beatles, in the readers' mind. You just have to find out why for yourself.
Engagement....arguments...MARRIAGE... children. Romance. This is almost a novel in itself. Have you ever wished that the Beatles were normal guys, living when you are? Here is the opportunity to let your fantasies run free. This is not a story of love deriving from adoration, ie, 'OMYGOD IT'S THE BEATLES!!!!' This is a story of a type of love that is pure, honest. Real. Hence the name, 'Real Love'.

In 1966, Penny Strafford is 17 years old. Of course she is in love with the Beatles, however she hasn't had a chance to see them yet, not live anyway. But that will change.
Her father, Christopher, is a successful concert pianist, and composer. He receives a call from Brian Epstein in Boston, Massachusetts, to tune a piano that the Beatles are playing at. Though Christopher is ordered not to tell anyone about the trip, and whose piano he is tuning, he does tell his daughter Penny. She comes along for the ride...and once there, he permits her to stay with the Beatles while they are in Boston: for two weeks. Her best friend Yvonne drops in for a visit as well...
The first night with the Beatles is a scary one, when Penny gets hurt...but the next get better and better, as a romance first with George, and finally with Paul develops.........into something more.....

It is 1966. Allegra, a sixteen year old from the USA, travels to England for her birthday present. She cannot wait to go sightseeing, especially things related to the Beatles. But her happiness is short-lived. She is raped the very first night that she is in London. Allegra wakes up terrified, alone, lost and hurt. She retreats to a nearby park, and falls asleep on the bench. Hours later, someone awakens her. Someone kind, with a dog named Martha...someone named Paul McCartney. He invites her to his house.........
But Allegra is hurt, terrified. She refuses to talk. She refuses to acknowledge his presence, even though she knows who he is. It is up to Paul to bring back her voice, to save her from the depths of despair. It is up to Paul to give her to ability to love again.
