CCAB hit its "Peak"

Yes, CCAB is dead. Long live CCAB.

Our debut full-length CD, “Peak” is still available. Continuing in the vein of our demo, “Pre-release”, the 15+ tracks on "Peak" were put down by the full band at Pyramid Studios, with the legendary Alex Perialas at the board. It’s definitely HEAVIER than the earlier stuff, furthering the notion that ya couldn’t pigeonhole CCAB into any single category. And we didn’t want you to. That’s not what we were about.

To hear a taste of the Clean-Cut sound, check us out on MySpace.com to hear songs and look at pictures. We're also on GarageBand.com.

To get your very own copy of "Peak", just email me. I'll hook ya up! I have lots left for public consumption, and you pay only the shipping fees! (that's right, I'll mail you one if you send me two bucks!)

Anyhow, again, we're no longer a band. I now live in Arizona, Russ lives in Texas, Bill's joined a religious cult (not really), and Rich is busy managing and producing. So we won't be writing any more crazy Clean-Cut tunes. Sorry.

If you run into Rich, ask him about the last songs he recorded for CCAB. I recorded some vocals before I moved, and the music had gotten even HEAVIER!

The Band

The Clean Cut American Boys were:

  • Scott “Twink” Blackwell – Vocals
  • Russ Root – Guitar
  • Rich Rawson – Bass
  • Bill Robertson – Drums
  • Rob Kathcart – Vocals
  • Nate Raiche – Bass

More Clean-Cut stuff!

CCAB on MySpace!

MySpace

What's Myspace? It's an online social community that's a two-year-old wunderkind, boasting 40 million plus members and 11 billion monthly visits. It has also revolutionized the music business, not unlike Napster had in the 90's. Many new bands can put their story and their music on the site be discovered without any involvement of  sleazy record-company execs.

A half-million musicians have MySpace homepages with streaming music clips, but it's not just crappy cover bands and derivative strivers--it's also Madonna, R.E.M., Beck, and Coldplay, sometimes previewing their new albums. Even the whole iPod/iTunes juggernaut doesn't have as much industry juice.

And we're on it too. So come and check us out.

CCAB on GarageBand.com!

If you don't know what GarageBand.com is, here's a quick overview: GarageBand.com is essentially a key to the future of the music business. It's a site where new bands can put their story and their music on the web and be reviewed by the best critics out there: other bands and music lovers. Now, I'm not going to explain it all to you here. If you want more info, go here. So check out the CCAB page. Drop us a note, listen to a song. Make a difference.

CCAB LIVE!

To see photos of the Clean Cut American Boys live in action, click here. (The last time new photos were added was 4/99. Sorry.)

New! Hey, we know that when we sing, you can't understand much. Well now you can. Check out the LYRICS, y'all. You'll be singing along in no time. And that, my friends, is a scary thought.
