The Phone Line & The Website
Again, I got this two articles off the 911_UK Mailing List,
some info on the split and the official phoneline and the website!
Something about the split...
Lindsay B*Witched tells us she wasn't surprised when her boyfriend
Lee's band 911 split. "I knew about it for a while." she confesses.
However, Lindsay kept quiet on what Lee's up to next.
"He's got a few things on the go, I'd rather not say what.
I'm sure Spike and Jimmy will do well in the future too."
-Special Thanks to Lisa-
The phone line...
hiya guyz,
well after reading what you said I have just rung up the fone line and
checked on the website to see what is going on.
The fone line has been updated and is really sad =( on 'upcoming news and appearances'
there is a message from the english bloke on the line- Mark?-
who says thank you for the last 5 years from 911 and from the fanclub also,
the usual kinda stuff. On fan club information it is still Martin's old message
about how to join. Then on personal message from 911
there is two new messages- one from Jimmy, one from Lee,
saying basically the same stuff as on the radio 1 show
- they both sound really upset though =(
and it's worth listening to. There is no message from Spike though,
which I was really disappointed about because he didn't say much on the interview,
apart from joking about his future, either.
Then there is a new competition.
I didn't hear the 'latest single', I guess it's wonderland
so i didn't listen cos it is quite an expensive call.
If anyone doesn't have the number, it's 0900 2 911 911 by the way.
Also, though I doubt it had even crossed your minds
what with 911 splitting up so recently,
but if you were wondering what will happen about the fan club
if you have just recently subscribed.
Then on Mark's message it says something about keeping you updated and
will let you know when you will be getting the rest of your subscription money back...
something like that.
The website...
Oh No!! It's Official!!!!
911 have announced that they are splitting up.
Jimmy Constable, Spike Dawbarn and Lee Brennan spoke
live on the Chris Moyles show on Radio 1 about their decision
to part after 4 successful years at the top.
911 formed in 1995 and have since achieved incredible success
in the UK, Europe and South East Asia.
They have had 10 UK Top Ten hits, 2 sell out UK tours,
sold millions of records world-wide
and gone platinum a staggering 20 times in South East Asia.
911 had their first UK number 1 with "A Little Bit More" in January 1999,
and have released such pop classics as
"Bodyshakin", "Party People" and "The Journey".
The band, who have just returned to the UK
from a sell out tour of South East Asia, said:
"We have really enjoyed the last 4 years in 911
but we feel now is the right time to move on and pursue individual projects.
We would like to thank everyone who we have worked with
for their support and dedication,
but especially we would like to thank our fans,
who have given us 4 incredible years to look back on and be thankful for.
Your love and support is something that we will never forget."
...a sad day for us all... but i wonder what they'll do next??
If you want to reminisce about the good old days
