Gary Farr was the son of British Heavyweight Boxing champion Tommy Farr. He began his career playing folk and blues music in pubs and clubs around the Worthing, Sussex area. With the advent of the "Beat Boom" he put The T-Bones together in 1963.

The group followed The Rolling Stones and The Yardbirds as the resident band at London's famous Crawdaddy Clud.

A talented and popular live band who failed to break out of the club scene and into the charts, the group dissolved in 1967.
