Fran has been associated with several different members
of BOSTON since the 1970s. In 1980, when guitarist Barry
Goudreau recorded a solo album, Fran contributed lead
vocals to three songs. Fran and Barry hooked up again in
1983, along with former Heart drummer Michael De Rosier
and bassist Bruce Smith to form Orion The Hunter. Fran
was contacted by Tom Scholz c. 1991/92 to see if he was
interested in possibly singing on the next BOSTON album,
which turned out to be full-fledged membership in the band
BOSTON. Fran sang most of the Lead Vocals on Walk On and some backing vocals as well. Fran's
given name is Francis Cosmo Migliaccio.
As testimony to Fran's vocal prowess, consider this: during the 1995 Livin' for You Tour, Brad Delp frequently yielded to Fran to hit those tweeter-frying high notes. (Really.) Fran's voice can be heard on a new song on the soon- to-be-released Greatest Hits album.
