Hi! My name is Mercedes, I'm 21 years old and live in Wahington DC. I am currently attending school at Brandeis University, in Waltham, Massachussetts. (Its snowy here, dont come up here ever if you dont like the cold!) One day I had this crazy idea to make a web page about Dave because (I'll admit it) I am obsessed with him. I don't think obession is a bad thing. The truth is that ever since I started listening to Jane's Addiction (greatest band on earth) I was fascinated by him. He is without a doubt one of the most gifted guitar players to have come along in a while. (Don't believe me? Listen to "Three Days" by Jane's off of Ritual de lo Habitual and then you'll change your mind.)To me Dave truly personifies what an artist is supposed to be. He is umcompromising, uninhibited, and truly creative. His guitar playing created a sound which allowed the likes of other influential bands, such as Nirvana and Pearl Jam, to arrive at the fore-front of a rebirth of rock music. Other then forging a new path for bands to follow, Dave keeps on creating in hopes of making this world a better place for himself and everyone around him. I truly believe that Dave is an individual who deserves to have his music admired and preserved, and that is why I have decided to make this web page. Yes, I know that Dave is a vision of beauty, but it is not his pyhsical appearance that makes him the interesting, intriguing person that he is. I hope not to represent Dave as a rock icon, but rather as an a person who is true to his art. I hope that you have learned more about Dave from my efforts and I hope that you too, will be true to your art as well.
Other than being obsessed with Mr. Navarro, I sing, play the flute, and practice random acts of kindness. My other favorite bands include, Porno for Pyros, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine (awesome live performers), Live, and Radiohead. I strongly suggest that everyone study Freudian psychology, and VOTE!!! Thanx for stopping by.
