Last year was not our most successful, but it was one of the most fun. Our Jr. High science club developed their projects and competed at local, regional, and state science fairs. I do not know the details, as I was not actively involved with the S.C. at that time, but I do know that they had fun. They even gave Alex Schaf a makeover during the Minot (state) trip. I would love to see the pictures of that! Our Science Olympiad competition was surely unforgettable. We worked for hours and hours and more serious hours on our events, and half the club helped out on single building events at a time. Our wonderful coaches, Mrs. Annette Kaip and Mr. Mark Brucker, supported us the whole way through and bent over backwards to pull the club together. Sadly, they can't be the coaches this year because Mrs. Kaip has to take care of her son and Mr. Brucker can't leave his wife for overnight trips. The teachers at the Mandan High School are not volunteering to take over this position, so there may not be a science club this year, but we still have our fingers crossed.
