We return, as promised, for another issue of Mehr Licht!, the second. The first issue had some acceptance, and the release of this second issue was imposing as the logical sequence to our initial idea. There was a slight (!) delay in the release of this issue, for which we apologize. Another responsible for a publication like this once said: "a zine in Portugal gives too much work"...

In this interim Those Barren Leaves played two more shows, besides, of course, keeping rehearsing. You'll find here one more article about them.

It happened, yet, the most welcomed Cais do Rock festival, where T.B.L. played, which will, definitely, dynamize the musical life of Póvoa de Varzim, besides being useful to push many good bands that exist throughout this country. So, it's to praise the initiative of this four young people from Póvoa in organizing it with the support of the town hall, also to be congratulated. It took place the first (we hope to be repeated) edition of the Super Rock festival (short it sounds better), which promises to revolutionize Portuguese musical calendar.

Some people wrote to me, with ideas and criticisms, that will always be welcome. It's good to know that there's people out there who care for the same subjects as we do and for what we publish. I would like, however, to state that there's no need in trying to impress us with your letters presentation.

So we'll have in this issue, articles about the emigrants Chateau Royale, the defunct The Eternal Afflict. You can still count with live reviews of gigs performed here - we point out Siouxsie and the Cais do Rock and Super Rock festivals - and others seen in England by our collaborator Carlos Lobo.

Demand more light!...
