After my last guestbook entry, you are probably wondering, "Who the hell is this guy? And why won't he leave us alone?!?!" But, time's have changed my friends. I have just read everything that there is to read on this zine page. And may I say that Ren
's "Quit yer BITCHIN" article, and Alissa's "I hate Girls" article were right on the money. I come from a very small High School where the average class has 50 students..our school population for the 1997-1998 school year 9-12 was 207. But here, everyth
ng is blown way out of proportion, and these cliques and so called "depressed" are a dime a dozen, or ten for twelve cents. These people run around like they own the place and don't really ever do anything that would be categorized as an accomplisment.
o, I have printed Rena's article and made 100 copies of it. I then mailed one to every person who will be enrolling as Juniors and Seniors at Oxford High School for the upcomming school year. Thanks guys. You made me smile today, and you made me get of
of my lazy ass. That was your greatest accomplishment in itself. Keep up the good work, this zine has great potential.

Reading this zine brings me back to that special night when Alissa and I first met. At first we weren't sure if it was going to work. But then it started to rain and we felt like it would be best if we go inside our favorite diner in Providence and sit
own, instead of in front of that Taxi.
A mutual friend had set us up on this blind date. But that didn't matter, we were going to get him back. But as I sat there watching her eat a pound of sprouts because she doesn't eat meat, I wondered what I was going to do with my life, if I couldn't h
ve this amazing creature. She was as delicate as a glass flower, yet as strong as a bulldozer. I found myself loving her, and she found herself loving me. We left that diner and got into a taxi for the long ride back to my place. She insisted we go, i
wasn't me.
Once we were there, I showed her around, it wasn't much, just a medium sized studio flat. But she did find my oversized poster of Frank Sinatra quite at home in my humble little abode.
That was when it happened. It hit me like a bolt of lightning. I was lookin up at old Frank, and it looked as if he was pointing at something with his eyes...I turned around to see the most beautiful angel I had ever seen in all of my days. Alissa was
tanding there, buckass naked, except for the cigarette hanging out of her mouth, but I don't think that counts. She came over to me, and let me to my bed.
That night we made love like two rabbits that hadn't seen each other in a week. It blew my mind. How anyone could have kept up with her, I'll never know. It was the most magical night of my entire life. I'll never forget it.
The next day, she was gone, but she left a note on her pillow. It read, "Dearest Dave, I know that you like that stupid poster of Frank Sinatra, but it creeps me out. Once you get rid of it, I'll come back. Give me a call. ...Alissa"
I keep coming home now...day in and day out, with no sign of Alissa. I don't know if she'll come back, but Frank is still on my wall. And if gettin rid of him is what is going to get her back, then I don't need her.
I hope you like the little story kids. Fiction is a marvel of the world, and I encourage you all to write to your heart's content. Keep the faith Alissa, this is a damn good zine. You just need the right exploitation. Love ya kiddo.

e? Seems to me that that is not that punk, but then what do I know? ...I've never made a zine. Where I'm from, and the only zines I've ever supported, were the ones that didn't mind if they didn't "break even", they never lost sight of their original goal
of helping out their scene. Those are the zines that I would bend over backwards to help out and those are the zines that I continue to support today. As someone who has picked up countless zines from countless places for countless years, I can offer you
his advise: always keep your ideals clear in your head. If you're looking for fame in fortune, you're using the wrong medium. If you're looking to make friends, establish a solid following and help out your scene, I'd make some changes. You don't need to
e "professionally published" to have a good zine, just good content. And you don't need to ding bands $20 to advertise... would you let the bands charge you $20 every time they mentioned an interview they did in your zine? I dunno, this is just constructi
e critism and I encourage you to give your side of the story, just email me. Take heed or tell me to fuck off, the decision is yours. You guys do have a good thing going for the most part... I am all for ambition, but there is a definitive line.
