Concert Review #2
Sent in by Nichole MacMonagle - Raleigh Show, September 6, 1998

Hey! My name is Nichole MacMonagle and I went to the September 6th concert in Raleigh NC. Here is my review!!

OK. This all started when my best friend's little sister heard that Backstreet Boys were coming to North Carolina, less than twenty minutes from where we all live. She decided to go with all of her little friends, and the more and more we thought about it, the more and more we wanted to go. My mom told us that she could get us free tickets from where she works and we were so excited.

[Forward to September 6th] That morning I woke up and was so excited. This was the first concert that my mom had ever let me go to and I was sooooo excited. My friend [Sarah] was really excited too. The concert tickets said that the doors would open at 6:00pm, so that is what time we decided to leave. We went with another one of my friends (Laura) and her two sisters and mom. We got there around seven o'clock. We had a half an hour until the opening acts came on. We decided to get souvineers before the show started so we went down to the place where they were selling things and debated. We (Sarah and I) decided to get those key chain things that you wear around your neck (alot of people have the Tommy and ADIDAS ones) that said Backstreet Boys and on the end of it was a little thingy that looked like a backstage pass (even though it wasn't..... DARN!). After we had bought those we were heading back to where we were sitting (we had lawn seats) and on the way up the stairs we hear "HHEEEEEEYYYYYY RRAAALLLEEEEEEIIIIIIGGGGHHHH!!" It was Aaron Carter! He came out and sang four songs (for those of you who actually went to a concert from the tour, he sang four because Jimmy Ray and Soap where not there.) I only remember two songs specifically though. One of them was when he brought up a little girl and sang some really sweet song to her (actually, I think that it was Angel, but I'm not positive). The other one is "Shake It!" That song was to cute! Every time he said 'Shake it' we were supposed to say "Go Aaron! Go Aaron!" It was adorable! When he was done singing, he goes "In case you didn't know, I'm Aaron Carter [screaming!!] And my big brother is Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys!! [unbelieveably loud screaming]" Soon after that he left. About a half an hour later the Backstreet Boys came on stage! They were soooooo good! And they are all HOT in person! They came out singing um..... number one on the CD (I am having a brain fart, I don't know the name). After that they sang that Hey Mr. DJ song, and then number 5 on the CD (Sorry, that is just how I know the songs). After that I don't remember exactly which order they sang the songs but they sang Quit Playing Games, As Long as you Love Me, I'll Never Break Your Heart number ten and twelve. During number ten AJ was like humping the floor (It was um.... interesting. Alot of moms were like "Oh, my god! There are young children here!" But they got over it.), and during I'll Never Break Your Heart, they passed out roses! I was too far away to get one, but I was really jealous of the girls who did. They also sang a song individually (each of them) and a few songs that I don't know. They changed once in there, and then they changed again and came out to sing Everybody. They came out like half dressed (Ya' know, sagging their pants really bad, and a shirt that was totally unbuttoned) That was like the best song! Everytime Nick said "Am I sexual?" he like did this weird hip thing and showed us his boxers. It was soooo amazing! That was the end of the concert and i definently would have to say that for my first concert it ROCKED!!
