Karen Carpenter is such an inspiration to me. I guess a lot of people can't understand why a pop singer could be such an inspiration. But I understand it completely. Karen, to me, is the greatest female vocalist to ever live, and she always will be, nobody that comes along after her will ever sound as gorgeous as she did.

But, Karen is also a lot more than just a gorgeous voice. She struggled with a killer disease, Anorexia Nervosa, for around 9 years that we know of. But, Karen was a fighter. She never showed that she was ill to her family, friends, or fans. She cared about them so much that she chose to put her own happiness aside to concentrate on what was best for them. Karen gave so much to so many people.

Through her talents, her incredible personality, and her caring nature, she has touched the lives of so many people and will continue to do so as long as her voice is heard and her story is told. Karen Carpenter gave so much joy and happiness to so many people, and in turn she suffered greatly, physically and emotionally. It doesn't seem fair. But, it happened for a reason, and I'm sure that Karen is getting the treatment and peace she deserves right now.

Karen holds a very special place in my heart, as well as the hearts of millions of fans who feel a deep connection to her. Karen is a legend. A legend that will live on and on as long as there is music. And for those of you who don't believe in angels, I'd think again, Karen Carpenter was definitely an angel on Earth, and now she is an angel in Heaven. Thank you, Karen.
