Morris Chestnut

Morris Chestnut

Morris Chestnut seemed to just appear out of no where. Most of his fans fist saw him in his starring role as Ricky, the football jock in John Singleton's "Boyz N the Hood." Morris' character came to life as he starred alongside Ice Cube, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Nia Long.

"Boyz In The Hood" was a blockbuster hit and put Morris on the map. He also appeard in feature films "Under Siege II," "The Inkwell," and "Into the Fire." His television apprearances include the CBS series' "Firehouse" and also "Out All Night," where he co-starred with Patti LaBelle, Vivica Fox and Dwayne Martin. Out all Night didn't last very long on the networks, but was syndicated on BET for about a year.

HIn 1999, "The Best Man," brought him back to the big screen with co-stars Nia Long, Sanaa Lathan, Monica Calhoun, and Terrence Howard.

Morris Chestnut was superb in "The Best Man". His character was as real and as believable as his role in Boyz In The Hood. For those ladies, who just can't get enoug of Morris' beautifully sculptured frame packed into finely-tailored clothing, I hope you caught a look at the movie "The Brothers".
"The Brothers" gave us a look at how tight some of our African American men can be. It touched on how brothers (not biological) deal with the many challenges they face in their friendships, relationships, and sex lives. But before you write the movie off as being too serious, "The Brother" featuring Morris, Bill Bellamy, Shemar Moore and D.L. Hughley (how'd he get in there?) was also funny, saucy and downright crazy at times.

He was also entertaining playing alongside Vivica Fox in "Two Can Play That Game". They were both successful Vivica an ad executive and Morris a lawyer) and their chemistry was hot. The movie had some comedy relief from guest stars such as Wendy Raquel Robinson, Bobby Brown and Mo'Nique.

His next flick "Half Past Dead" Morris finally fell out of the romantic comedy role and got to play a criminal mastermind named Donny who planned to infiltrate a high tech prison. Even though he probably wasn't trying to, Morris was just plain sexy in the role. He sported a baldy look that wasn't too shabby on him. The movie also featured Ja Rule and Steven Segal.

I'm sure his next project will just as good as his past projects. I can't wait to see what he has in store for us.
