LISA BONET

Born on November 16, 1967, this Libra star child, has definitely grown into an intriguing woman. Lisa Bonet has managed to maintain a longevity within Hollywood that very few child stars can claim.

A San Francisco native, young Lisa's parents were divorced when she was young. She spent many of her most influential years going between New York City and L.A. At the age of 11, she began auditioning for commercials, ads and walk-on TV parts. Her hard work paid off when she landed a role as Denise, the daughter of Claire and Heathcliff Huxtable on NBC's primetime hit, "The Cosby Show". "The Cosby Show" became an immediate hit, and Lisa quickly asserted herself amongst one of the most memorable families on television.

In 1987, it became clear that Lisa shared her character's defiant persona when she decided to leave the cushy position on the show in order to pursue film She was featured in a racy role opposite Mickey Rourke in a gothic thriller called "Angel Heart".

"Cosby Show" fans were shocked at the role Lisa played, which required the 19-year-old Bonet to appear in several graphic sex scenes (some of which had to be cut in order to released in mainstream America). Yet, Lisa appeared to be unfazed at the controversy surrounding her role in "Angel Heart", which (after all the controversy) did very little to further her big-screen career. By the end of the year, Lisa had returned to television, still as Denise Huxtable, but also as a college student on the "Cosby Show" spin-off, "A Different World".

1987 was a big year for Lisa. In this year alone she'd done a high profile film, re-surfaced on a new television show, and she also married rocker Lenny Kravitz in that year. Lenny's impetuous free spirit and bi-racial upbringing uncannily paralleled Lisa's own background.

Even though the Bill Cosby-produced "Different World" was becoming just as much a hit as "The Cosby Show", but Lisa quickly lost interest in the show. She began showing up late to the set or not at all, and within two years she was gone. By then, she and Lenny had a newborn baby, which they named Zoë. Lisa spent the rest of the 1980s making spotty appearances on "The Cosby Show".

By the early '90's, Lisa made a conscious decision to stop acting. But, in 1993, her marriage to Kravitz fell apart, and to make ends meet in the mid-'90s, she accepted roles in made-for-TV and straight-to-video productions. It was around this time that Lisa legally changed her name to Liliquois Moon (she continued to use her birth name for her acting career only). She also had another child with her then boyfriend and former yoga instructor Brian Kest before returning to the big screen in 1998 with a memorable supporting role alongside Will Smith in "Enemy of the State". Perhaps Lisa has changed her mind about acting since she has also shown up in "High Fidelity" (2000). Looks like Lisa's Hollywood career is once again on-track.
