GABRIELLE (Monique) UNION

Gabrielle (a.k.a. Gabby or Nickie) is a Scorpio who was born on the 29th of October in 1973 in Omaha, Nebraska. Her family moved to Pleasanton, CA, when she was 8-years-old and that’s where she grew up.

In high school Gabrielle was an all-star point guard and a year round athlete participating in soccer, basketball, and track. It's been rumored that Gabrielle dated Jason Kidd in high school but Reported to have been dumped by him in front of the entire gym, including her father! What an idiot Jason!

After high school Gabrielle attended college at the University of Nebraska, where she played on the soccer team; and then later transferred to Cuesta College. Eventually she ended up at UCLA. Gabrielle was working hard in law school but things started to happen during her senior year. Gabrielle took an internship at an L.A. modeling agency.

She thought it would be an easy way to pick up some extra credits, but little did she know that the bosses were eyeing the help and up the completion of her internship, the 5'8" beauty was asked to become a client with the agency. Gabrielle thought of it as a great way to pay off a stack of college loans, so she modeled until her agent found that she could actually act. Her first audition lead to a job and all of this wad done without any headshots. That role was on the show, "Saved by the Bell."

Gabrielle has gone on to land roles in many small but substantial film roles and has guest starred on several hit TV shows, including a brief stint as the first African-American love interest on the sitcom "Friends." She eventually landed the role of Dr. Courtney Ellis, on CBS' short lived medical drama City of Angels. Although she plays parts that are opinionated and strong, Gabrielle believes that, "Hollywood needs to recognize all shades of African American beauty." Gabrielle is a graduate of UCLA with honors, in sociology. Gabrielle married football player Chris Howard of the Jacksonville, Jaguars on May 5, 2001.

Currently she has a role in the comedy "Breakin' All The Rules," opposite Jamie Foxx and Morris Chestnut. Other credits include "Love and Basketball", "Two Can Play That Game," "Deliver Us from Eva" and "Bad Boy II".
