DARRIN DEWITT HENSON, Choreographer and Stage Director. His remarkable display of contemporary dance, precision and intricate staging have landed him some top notch gigs: NSYNC's MTV video, tour and home video; Deborah Cox's "One Wish" gold album stage show; The Artist Formerly Known as Prince's "Face Down" video and Blackstreet's World Tour.



Darrin Dewitt Henson has a very impressive background. He is a gifted choreographer and stage director whose talents have exceeded many others. His exceptional choreography routines have featured on several music awards including MTV Music Awards, American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Soul Train Music Awards and Blockbuster Music Awards.

His work on the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards, earned him a nomination for Best Choreographed Dance Video for "Give It To You," performed by Jordan Knight. Darrin has choreographed stage shows for many top artists including: NSYNC's MTV video, tour and home video as well as their performance on the Jay Leno Show; Deborah Cox's One Wish gold album stage show; The Artist Formerly Known as Prince's Face Down video and Blackstreet's World Tour; and other works include Britney Spears and Michael Jackson.

On stage, Darrin performed the role of 'Carlos Cruz' in Ron Link's "Stand Up Tragedy," which hit the Broadway stage after successfully running at San Francisco's Marine Memorial Theatre and L.A.'s Mark Taper Forum where it won a Los Angeles Drama Critics Award. Darrin also starred as 'Antonio' in the musical production "Club 12," directed by Pat Birsch and staged off-Broadway at the West Beth Theatre.

We all know that Darrin definitely has what it takes to grace his way through very intricate dance moves, but he also has acting skills. He starred opposite Paul Sorvino in the feature film "Jack Of All Trades," and he also appeared in Eddie Murphy's "The Nutty Professor". Darrin even guest-hosted several episodes of MTV's No. 1 video show, "Total Request Live." His television credits include guest appearances on the "Beverly Hills 90210," "New York Undercover" and "NYPD Blue."

Currently, you can see Darrin Dewitt Henson every Wednesday night on Showtime in their original television series version of the film "Soul Food". He is killing the roll of Bird Joseph's husband 'Lem'. If you haven't already checked out "Soul Food" you're missing some good television (not to mention you're missing seeing Darrin every week!)
