Because I travelled in China and was pushed to meet up with my mate, I didn't actually travel much round South East Asia until after I had been to Australia and New Zealand. When I got to Thailand it was getting pretty hot and from there it just got hotter and hotter through Laos and Cambodia. I wanted to see Vietnam and Malaysia, but time and money was not on my side, especially after I came down with a nasty kidney stone less than 5 days after returning to Bangkok from Cambodia.
